Intro of 1st Summer Brothers Smothers Show/Glen Campbell
The first ten minutes of the first Summer Brothers Smothers Show, June 23, 1968-when Glen Campbell became a household word. This was truly his moment as he sang “Once in a Lifetime”-he had "a new place in the sun." That first song was his swine song instead of his swan song, thanks to the Smothers Brothers bringing out a herd of pigs during his performance! Includes an original Kool Cigarettes commercial.

Two of the greatest guitar players ever, but they don't get enough credit for their instrumental skills.

Still amazed at people who just think Glen was a country singer. He was also a 'guitar god.' We used to listen to one of his early albums, "Mr. Twelve String Guitar" as kids playing ping pong in a friend's basement.

Glen was a guitar virtuoso but the pedal steel player is really on the money here with some great licks. Anyone know who the pedal steel guitarist is?

You can't fix stupid. Glenn was one of a kind. People underestimated his prowess on the guitar as well. That and a fabulous human being. Humble and kind. When he began to forget the lyrics a few years back. It tore every fan up. People including myself loved him dearly.
